2017 Guangxi Nanning Vocational Education Development Project

David Lupton & Associates Ltd are subconsultants to Energy and Environmental Development Research Centre (EED) of China on this TVET project. 

The project aims to (i) improve the quality of curriculum for kindergarten teacher and elderly nursing training and improve teaching method, evaluation mechanism and teaching content (ii) human resource development, (iii) industry-school cooperation, (v) create national and international partnerships with leading institutions, (iv) establish kindergarten and rural health training bases, and (vii) construct facilities and provide equipment for NHS and NVTS.

The client is the Nanning Project Management Office under a loan from the Asian Development Bank

2017 Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Provincial Road Improvement Project

Overall goal: Improving regional connectivity, reducing maintenance backlog, optimising financing
resources to ensure road maintenance sustainability of KP Roads.

The project aimes to (i) rehabilitate or reconstruct about 300 km of Provincial Highways in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa; and
(ii) contract out routine and periodic maintenance work for about 200-250 km of provincial highways combined with connecting district roads (that only require maintenance) based on
performance based maintenance contracts.

2016 Developing Pathways to Low-Carbon Transport in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region - Intercity Transport Specialist

The objective of TA-8775 PRC: Developing Pathways to Low-Carbon Transport in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region is to assist the Government of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region (NHAR) and five local governments to develop a low-carbon transport policy, strategy, and phased implementation plan. While the main consultant effort is addressing reduced carbon emissions in the five cities, this piece of work addresses intercity transport.

2016 Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Intercity Railway

Since March 2013, the Ministry of Transport (MOT) of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) has had comprehensive responsibilities for railway planning formerly undertaken by the Ministry of Railways. The objective of this assignment is to assist MOT in the formulation of guiding policies for planning, financing, and implementation of the intercity train infrastructure network and service development with particular reference to the Beijing–-Hebei (BTH) region.
