Dr Ron Allan

Ron Allan is a transport consultant based in Brisbane. Ron gives policy advice to governments spanning: regulation, subsidy, monopoly, intermodal competition, reform of government institutions and privatisation of state-owned enterprises. He advised the New Zealand rail operator on rail safety and risk management. Safety and environment policy and economics are prominent strands of work.

Another major area of work is feasibility studies for infrastructure investments (eg roads, ports, airports) and transport operations (notable being airline and shipping line 'start ups', both operating successfully today).

Latterly, his work has extended to analysis of infrastructure investment effects on poverty reduction
